Davey Havok and Jade Puget, the lead vocalist and guitarist for AFI, say they are ready to release an album by their electronic side project, Blaqk Audio.
Puget says, “We actually have a Blaqk Audio album finished that we’re going to release after [new AFI album] Crash Love. Whenever we’re done touring on this, we’ll immediately put it out.”
The album is titled Bright Black Heaven, and follows their 2007 debut CexCells. Puget says the new album was ready before Crash Love, but that “if all of a sudden we’re doing two Blaqk Audio records in a row people will think AFI is not happening or something.”
Puget says that he’s written in the area of 70 Blaqk Audio songs since finishing the record.
